Learn How To Purchase Suitable Tiki Torches

One great thing that the Central Polynesian culture has offered to the present world comes in the form of tiki torches. Tiki torches specifically have been an object of admiration and awe for all the tiki enthusiasts.  A Tiki torch essentially comprises of two parts, one is the outer shell, tiki and the other is the flame or the torch.

These days you may find the outer shell to be made of metals like copper, brass and stainless steel, but originally it was made of bamboo only. Well, metal based tiki torches will certainly last longer. So you can decide is bamboo tiki torch for you.

However, if you want to have a classic décor that nears originality, you should patronize those with bamboo as a shell. Apart from the charm associated with anything original, bamboo tiki torches are very affordable too.

The other part to the tiki torches is the flame. To keep it burning, a torch or anything for that matter, would necessarily require a fuel and a wick. The most common type of fuel which is used is the oil which is the paraffin oil. Paraffin oil is preferred as it is odorless and causes no harm. The other fuel which can be used is the propane gas or the natural gas.

If you intend using a gas as a fuel, you have to have arrangements for a tank and a feeding pipe for the gas to reach the torch. The plus point of using gas as a medium for burning is that it offers a continuous flame of uniform, and even adjustable intensity but the flame doesn’t have the same visual charm of an oil based flame. They are often used decorative tiki torches.

These torches can be conveniently be procured from a reputed hardware store or you may buy them online and as already mentioned keep in mind that tiki torches with bamboo shells are the most economical.
